With over 25 years of leading a mobile medical group serving the elder community, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to provide care via telemedicine to elderly patients in 5 states: IL, WI, MO, VA, TN.
Responsibilities:
We empower you and your midlevel/clinical assistant to provide comprehensive exams that meet or exceed the standards set forth by the Academy of Psychiatry and state you practice. Our Psychiatrists manage a variety of behavioral disorders for the senior population of nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities & assisted living facilities including but not limited to:
* Utilize assigned telemedicine software
* Utilize AdvancedMD electronic medical record (EMR) software
* Hold interactive sessions with elderly patients
* Prescribe necessary medications
* Review patients’ medical history
* Advise patients on behavioral health and general wellness practices
* Order additional medical tests to form a better diagnosis if necessary
* Formulates and/or implements a treatment plan to address deficits and patient/family areas of concern.
* Provides education/consultation to patient, family and health care team
* Obtaining complete medical history and writing reports
* In addition to professional responsibilities, the Psychiatrist will be part of a team engaging in marketing outreach and growing positive relationships with colleagues, vendors, fellow healthcare practitioners, and community organizations.
Qualifications:
* Doctoral degree in Psychiatry from an Accredited Residency
* Missouri or Illinois state license in good standing
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population so that goals are achieved
* You must also be proficient with computers, have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR databases
* Create a satisfying journey for the patient through ongoing counseling and support
* Be ambitious, motivated, and have a desire to be part of an industry that changes people’s lives daily
